About

The International Affairs Journal at UC Davis was founded in the winter of 2005, and is a student-run academic journal that strives to connect the academic world through scholarly papers in order to spread awareness, start conversations and spark curiosity about the international issues that are facing our world today.

IAJ has two publications: the International Affairs Journal and the International Update.

International Affairs Journal

This is our main publication, consisting of articles and research papers written by students, graduate and undergraduate, from all over the world. Articles, 3 to 10 pages in length, range in both perspective and topic. Each issue contains a Forum with articles covering any issue of the international arena, and a “Regional Spotlight,” which allows students to showcase their research on a specific area of the world.

The International Affairs Journal is published quarterly.

International Update

The International Update is IAJ’s second publication, and presents 500-1500 word articles covering any area of the world. We invite skilled student columnists from all over the world to write as regular columnists, and always welcome the work of guest students and professors.

The International Update is featured on the IAJ website, and is published biweekly.
